Taldia Delivers News with Personalized Podcasting Service

Ontario, CA -- Taldia, Inc. unveiled its Personal Podcasting Service at last week's Portable Media Expo. This service takes content that is available in traditional print format, and delivers it in an audio format. Rys Fairbrother, Taldia's President, took a few moments to explain the service, and give a short demonstration to The iPod Observer.
Taldia takes content licensed from the Associated Press and YellowBrix, a news aggregator, and uses professional voiceover talent to deliver content in MP3 format. Users can customize the types of news they want to hear, and either use a Windows client to automate the download of the file, or manually download the file directly from their site.
The news file will contain about 10 percent advertising sprinkled throughout the file. Because of this, Taldia offers the service for US$4.95 a month.
The service is available immediately for any platform that can support a web browser and MP3 files. A Mac-specific client will be available some time in 2006.
