Tenacious D: Time Fixers

I remember watching Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure where a very young Alex Winters and an even younger Keanu Reeves duded and air-guitared their way through history. What seemed like a romp through time by mindless surfer boys turned out to be not quite so mindless after all. I'm not saying that the gist of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure was deep in any meaningful way, but there was more to the pair and the movie than you might first believe.

I had gone to see the movie with some friends, expecting it to suck like a Hoover, but I wound up liking it a lot.

Keep that in mind when you download the free Tenacious D: Time Fixers preview. It's only about 3 and a half minutes long, but it stars Jack Black of School of Rock and Nacho Libre fame. (He also did a li'l sum-sum in the latest remake of King Kong.)

The video is typical Jack Black fair, that is to say that Jack is his typical 'large in size and personality' self, which often comes off as being funny. He teams up with Kyle Gass in this promo for the soundtrack of their upcoming movie, Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny.

Tenacious D: Time Fixers is funny in a heavy-on-the-cheese way that makes the short look like it could have come from Saturday Night Live and reminds me of the Bill and Ted adventures. The only problem is that you only get half the video for free. The other half is yours when (if) you pre-order The Pick of Destiny soundtrack, which, in my opinion, sucks like a Hoover. (Not the soundtrack, which I have not heard, but being forced to buy the sound track to get the rest of the video sucks.)

I sure hope others don't use this promo technique as an example; if they did I don't think I'd download anything anymore.

So, is cheesy Time Fixers worth the time to download? Yeah, sure. It's fun, even if you're not a Jack Black fan. Just be sure to bring your own crackers.

Bones Fox "The Titan on the Tracks" Medical Drama

Brennan and Booth investigate the site of a train wreck where the bodies of a senator and a high-profile businessman are found within the wreckage. The businessman's body is found in a car on the train tracks, and at first glance, it is an apparent suicide. While investigating a possible connection between the two victims, Brennan and her team discover the businessman is still alive, but severely injured, at a local hospital, and the body at the scene is someone else.

As the clues begin to unravel, the investigation gets more complicated when details of the man's private life are revealed, leading Brennan and Booth to a private detective who may hold key information. Meanwhile, Brennan is introduced to Dr. Camille Saroyan, a first-rate pathologist who has been hired as the head of forensics at the Jeffersonian, and more importantly, Brennan's boss. Also, Booth encourages Brennan to visit her mother's gravesite for the first time.

Breaking Bonaduce
Season 2
VH1 "El Gringo Loco" Reality At the onset of Season Two, we see the impact that 'Breaking Bonaduce' has had on Danny and Gretchen's lives. In fact, the show is successful enough to get international distribution. So in order to keep the momentum moving forward, Danny agrees to help promote the show in Mexico City. While there, he pays a visit to a dubbing house where 'Breaking Bonaduce' is being translated into Spanish. But because Danny has never seen the show before, after viewing an episode from last season in which Gretchen has strippers at her birthday party, Danny goes into a tailspin.
Kiss Me
'Single'
From the album Rudebox
Kiss Me Robbie Williams Pop Kiss Me was originally a pop hit for Tin Tin in 1985. Tin Tin was actually the work of Stephen Duffy, who was one of the founding members of Duran Duran. Duffy then formed the group the lilac Time, who created a few albums of Nick Drake-inspired folk pop. Currently, Duffy has been co-writing songs with Robbie Willams, no doubt inspiring this choice cover taken from Williams' new album, Rudebox.
New Shoes New Shoes Paolo Nutini Rock Paolo Nutini comes from an Italian family - but one that has lived in Scotland for generations. He's fresh from his teenage years and he's got a voice that channels Ray Charles, Bill Withers, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, Chris Martin, and well, whomever you happen to like.
