The Mac Observer Launches iPodObserver!

The Mac Observer (TMO) is pleased to announce the launch of iPodObserver, a new Web site dedicated to the iPod, as well as the music and podcasts that iPod users enjoy.

"The iPod has evolved beyond a product," said Bryan Chaffin, editor of The Mac Observer and iPodObserver. "There's digital music, podcasting, and a whole range of products to choose from. iPodObserver will bring iPod owners the news they need, as well as product reviews, music reviews, and user forums."

iPodObserver will bring you daily news and opinions regarding the iPod for Mac and Windows users. In addition, the site will serve up reviews of iPod gear including headphones, cases, chargers, FM transmitters, stands, speakers, and anything else that is related to the iPod.

Where the site will differentiate itself from the other great iPod sites already established is with the addition of music reviews and other ways for you to discover new music.

"The team at TMO has two things in common," said Dave Hamilton, president of The Mac Observer, Inc. "The first is a love of technology, particularly the technology produced by Apple, but the second is a passion for music. We all took different paths to writing about technology, but those paths made their way through the world of music before arriving at TMO."

He added, "We will leverage that passion to help iPodObserver readers find new music, and further develop their own musical interests."

iPodObserver will also look for the best podcasts out there in order to help readers wade through the growing library of audio content being made for iPod users.

Perhaps the most important aspect of iPodObserver will be its community resources. The site will offer user forums and article comments that share the large and diverse community at The Mac Observer. This means that registering at either site will give our readers access to the communities at both sites. Registered users can even add their own rating to album reviews at iPO.

We will be introducing additional community resources in the near future, as well.
