Tweeter, RipDigital Team For Retail Sale of CD Conversion Service

Tweeter Home Entertainment Group and RipDigital have jointly announced that the former will sell the latter's CD-to-digital audio conversion service in its 160 retail stores. Consumers can purchase RipDigital's service, which costs US$1.49 per CD including shipping and insurance, at Tweeter's stores and then take the packaging materials home, where they box up their discs and MP3 player and send them in for digital conversion.
RipDigital offers a variety of digital formats, including lossless, and returns the loaded music player with a printed binder that includes CD cover art and track listings. The original discs are also returned. Tweeter also lets consumers purchase an MP3 player or digital media server at their stores and have RipDigital load it with music.
