"Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.
- Nine Inch Nails
In the sprawling post-A&R rock and roll world, there are two camps: the Beatles and the Stones. The Beatles are the artists that like to explore, evolve, and change styles. The Stones are the artis

At first, Ray LaMontagne might strike you as just another breathy-voiced knockoff of folk/rock guitarists like John Mayer and Jack Johnson. But he's actually got a better voice than either, he tell

Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.

Unlocked iPhones Disappear from Singapore Stores
Thursday, December 6th, 2007 at 3:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
Several retailers in Singapores Sim Lim Square mall stopped selling unlocked iPhones after Apples legal team threatened legal action. Apple warned the retailers that they could be liable for US$1,000 for each iPhone they sold since they arent authorized to sell the hacked handhelds, according to The Straits Times.
The iPhones had been unlocked so they could be used with any cell carrier by applying unauthorized hacks. While reselling the combination iPod and smart phone in its locked state doesnt violate Singapore laws, hacking the software to unlock it violates copyright laws.
Keystone Law Corp associate director Han Wah Teng commented "What you pay for is only the licence to use the software. You still need permission from the software owner to reproduce or modify it."
While unlocked iPhones may not be visible on Sim Lim Square store shelves any more, that doesnt mean customers cant get them. At least one store at the mall claims it can "bring in" the handheld for interested customers.
Apple is hoping to officially launch the iPhone in Asia some time in 2008.
