- It's an album about a breakup, done with beats instead of mopey lyrics. But the beats are raw, and the emotions are there, even if there aren't many words on top of it. While possibly not Scott Herren

Adobe, Apple Working on Flash for the iPhone
Monday, February 2nd, 2009 at 8:41 AM - by Jeff Gamet
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen confirmed that his company is working with Apple to bring its popular Flash multimedia platform to the iPhone. The two companies are teaming up to bring the technology to the iPhone because of the technical issues involved, according to Bloomberg.
In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, Mr. Narayen said "It's a hard technical challenge, and that's part of the reason Apple and Adobe are collaborating. The ball is in our court. The onus is on us to deliver."
Adobe has been working for some time on bringing Flash to the iPhone, but so far Apple has rejected the company's offerings. Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that Flash runs too slow on the iPhone, and that Flash Lite -- a stripped down version of Flash for mobile devices -- doesn't have enough features to be usable on the Web.
Mr. Narayen didn't say how long Adobe and Apple have been collaborating, or when iPhone and iPod touch users can expect to see Flash on their devices. The fact that the two companies are working together, however, could mean that customers can expect to see Flash support on their handheld at some point.
