Apple Adds Movies to Germany iTunes Store

Apple's iTunes Store in Germany added movie rentals and purchases to its feature set on Thursday. Movies from Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, MGM, The Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Television and more are available now with prices starting at €2.99 for rentals.
iTunes Store movies in Germany launched with some 500 titles available suchs as Quantum Of Solace, The Dark Knight, Pineapple Express, Die Fälscher, and Keinohrhasen.
Movies are priced at €7.99 for catalog titles, €9.99 for recent releases, and €13.99 for new releases. Rentals cost €2.99, or €3.99 for new releases. High definition movies cost an additional €1.
Adding movie rentals and purchases to the iTunes Store in Germany could also make Apple TV a more enticing purchase in the country since users can order movies directly from the home entertainment appliance, potentially giving Apple a boost in sales.
