Apple Adds Trivial Pursuit, Crystal Defenders, Chinese Checkers to iPod Games List

Apple on Tuesday continued to stock the shelves at the iTunes Store with three more clickwheel iPod games: Trivial Pursuit (US$4.99), Crystal Defenders ($4.99), and Chinese Checkers ($0.99). The first two were published by Electronic Arts and Square Enix, respectively, while the third is another original title from Apple. All three are compatible with fifth generation video iPods, iPod classic, and third and fourth generation iPod nanos.
Trivial Pursuit is based on the popular board game. It features 1,000 questions in such categories as entertainment, geography, and history, with Classic and Pursuit modes available. Players can take on the computer or up to three human opponents in pass-and-play mode.

Crystal Defenders features units, monsters, and areas from Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Square Enix's tactical role-playing game for the Nintendo DS. Players deploy various types of units to protect their crystal reserves from approaching monsters; the gameplay is drawn from the tower defense concept popularized by such games as Hordes of Orcs. Two game versions, W1 and W2, are available across over 200 stages.

Chinese Checkers is based on the board game that's been around for decades. Players can take on computer opponents on three levels of difficulty or play against up to five human opponents in pass-and-play mode.
