Apple Bringing iDisk Support to iPhone, iPod touch

Apple is finally fulfilling the wishes of many iPhone owners by bringing iDisk support to the combination iPod and smartphone. The company is currently working on an iDisk application for the iPhone and iPod touch that will let users access files online while on the go.

iDisk for the iPhone and iPod touch will let users see their iDisk contents, view files, share files, and access public iDisk folders. The application will support iWork '09 documents, Microsoft Office documents, PDF, and more.

iDisk will be free and available at the iTunes-based App Store. Apple hasn't said when iDisk for the iPhone and iPod touch will be available.

This is good news. It seems silly to email myself a document just so that I could keep it with me on my iPhone.

I agree. I wasn’t that interested in the iPhone initially. But the more features of this kind that Apple adds, the better value I’m seeing. Apple is slowly winning me over. I may break down in another year when my contract is out and switch to an iPhone.
