    • Massive Attack
    • "Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.

    • Brother Love
    • Killer grooves, catchy riffs, edgy vocals with oh-so-just-right layered harmonies, and a drive that will move even YOU out of your chair, Brother Love's initial release is what rock and roll should be

    • Spoon
    • Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.

    • The energetic duet of Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione that make up the Dresden Dolls have created a wonderfully haunting sound in their self-titled album. They have been able to construct an imme

It looks (to me) like they have another that features the compass. I hadn’t checked the iPhone ads in a long time and I don’t watch TV, so I watched several ads featuring apps and it struck me just how important they are to selling the iPhone. I guess that I’ll be getting the iPhone 3GS later this year and finally ditching Verizon, which calls me at least 1-2 times/month suggesting that I “upgrade” my minimalist Samsung phone—and, of course, sign on to another 2-year contract. My contract expired a bit before the first iPhone came out and I have no interest in signing up for another 2 years just to get a crappy phone, even it does come in various colors.
