Apple Intros iTunes Pass

Apple added a new feature to the iTunes Store on Tuesday, the iTunes Pass, that lets users purchase content from their favorite artists before it's released. The feature works like an RSS feed in that it automatically downloads pre-purchased songs or videos once they are available.
iTunes Passes can include individual songs or complete albums, as well as music videos and other iTunes content. Apple says that when users purchase a pass, all of the items that are currently available will automatically download to iTunes, and the remaining items will download once they are available, too. As an added incentive to use the new feature, some iTunes Store items will be available exclusively through an iTunes Pass.
It looks like the first iTunes Pass item is Depeche Mode's new Sounds of the Universe album. Only one track from the album is available without an iTunes Pass.
