Apple Stores Opening at 8AM for iPhone 3G S Launch

Many of Apple's retail locations will be opening at 8AM local time on June 19 for the official iPhone 3G S launch. Apple introduced the new iPhone on June 8 during its World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco.
The iPhone 3G S offers better battery life than the iPhone 3G, and includes a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and macro support, video capture and editing, voice control, a built-in digital compass, and more. Pricing for the new iPhone starts at US$199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a two-year contract. Most current iPhone customers, however, will pay a higher price for an iPhone 3G S.
Not all Apple retail locations will be opening at 8AM, so be sure to check Apple's Retail Web site before making the early morning trek to your local store.
