Apple Working on iPod shuffle Earbud Adapter

Apple is apparently aware that not everyone wants to use its proprietary earbuds with the new buttonless iPod shuffle, so the company is working on a special adapter with the same in-line controls. The adapter will include the buttons that are built into the earbuds that are included with the new shuffle and will let users without forcing them to give up their favorite earbuds or headphones, according to Engadget.
Apple introduced the redesigned iPod shuffle on March 11. The new model is even smaller, sports 4GB of storage, and doesn't include playback controls on the device's surface. It also sports a voiceover feature that speaks track names, artist names and playlist names.
There's no word yet on how much the iPod shuffle earbud adapter will cost, or when it will be available.
