Quick Look Review

Cell Minute Tracker Displays iPhone Usage Graphically

Cell Minute Tracker from Pageonce collects and displays usage and billing information for your iPhone. It uses encrypted communication to extract information from your AT&T account. It displays progress bars for your Anytime Minutes, Night/Weekend minutes, Rollover minutes and Text Message usage.

Cell Minute Tracker

Main Screen

At first launch, the app requires users to enter their AT&T phone number and account password, assuming one has set up an online account to access AT&T billing information. The Pageone company represents itself as a leader in security technology. I took a look at their Website and combined that with knowledge that Apple had approved the app and decided it was acceptable to enter that information.

The app shows green colored bars to summarize the key usage stats the customer might need to know, especially if it's suspected that limits have been reached. It's a lot more convenient than logging onto AT&T with Safari and reading the miniscule text.

The app has its own facility to set a passcode so that even if you don't passcode protect the iPhone itself, your AT&T account data will remain secure. If there are multiple family members on the account, the data can be broken down my member.

Cell Minute Tracker-2

Preferences

Pageone uses a lot of space within the app for an FAQ that describes the company, their trustworthiness, and their security expertise in order to allay concerns by the user, especially because it affords the ability to log directly on to the AT&T account on the Web and make a payment.

Cell Minute Tracker is another one of those convenient, well thought out apps, that collects useful information and presents it to the iPhone user. It requires iPhone OS 2.2 or later, is priced at US$0.99, and only works with AT&T accounts.
