- Supersuckers
- Man, there's nothing like good, old fashioned, rock and roll... add a bit of industry resentment to that with a double-shot of cynicism, and you get one of the best "new" rock bands going. This album
- Rush
- We all know it, right? Well, ya just gotta have it. 2112 finally showed Rush out on their own, doing their own thing, and doing it well, IMHO.
- Weather Report
- This is Weather Reports quintessential line-up captured live. Jaco Pastorious and Peter Erskine join Wayne Shorter and, of course, Joe Zawinul to create this masterpiece.
- Beck
Beck is the modern master of the groove, and Guero is merely the latest example of this. From the opening power chords of "E-Pro," to the Pac-Man cuteness of "Girl," to the dirge-like lullab

DVLabs Includes iPhone in Hacking Contest
Friday, February 27th, 2009 at 10:06 AM - by Jeff Gamet
Apple's iPhone 3G will be going on the firing line along with several other smartphones in DVLab's third annual Pwn2Own contest at the CanSecWest Security Conference. Contestants will be competing to be the first to remotely hack into and gain control of the iPhone or Android, Windows Mobile and Symbian devices for a US$10,000 jackpot.
DVLabs is part of the security company TippingPoint. Terri Forslof, the company's manager of security response, said that the hacker's attacks will be limited to "attacks that can be exploited via e-mail, SMS text, Web site browsing, and other general actions a normal user would take while using the device."
Just as in previous Pwn2Own contests, contestants will also be able to test their skills against a MacBook and a Sony Vaio. Attackers can try to remotely work their way into the MacBook through the Safari and Firefox Web browsers. The Sony Vaio will be running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8, Firefox and Chrome.
Mr. Forslof added "As usual, the ZDI will purchase all winning vulnerabilities that are submitted against these targets, hand them over to the affected vendors, and coordinate public disclosure."
