    • Man, there's nothing like good, old fashioned, rock and roll... add a bit of industry resentment to that with a double-shot of cynicism, and you get one of the best "new" rock bands going. This album

EA to Preview Upcoming iPhone, Mac Games at E3

During next week's E3 Expo in Los Angeles, Electronic Arts will preview a wide variety of titles, including Mass Effect Galaxy and Command & Conquer: Red Alert for the iPhone, as well as the Mac/PC version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, due out in June.

In addition, on Tuesday, June 2, the publisher will hold a press conference with Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov to make an announcement and give away an iPod touch inscribed with a  Tetris logo.

Mass Effect is an action role-playing game set in the year 2183: humanity has explored the stars beyond its local solar system and established colonies around the galaxy. Players must protect those fledgling colonies from attack by ruthless aliens. It was released for Xbox 360 in 2007 and for Windows in 2008; EA did not reveal specifics of the iPhone version.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert is a strategy game set in an alternate timeline where World War II never happened because Albert Einstein built a time machine and eliminated Adolf Hitler from existence. Unfortunately, that change allowed the Soviet Union to grow unchecked, leading to a 1950s-era World War II between it and the United States. The third edition in the series came out for the Mac earlier this year.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is based on the sixth book and movie in the popular series about a young boy who discovers he is the son of a famous wizard. Players explore Hogwarts and the surrounding environment, engaging in wizard duels, brewing magical potions, and leading the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory.
