Equinux Releases SongGenie 1.1 Acoustic Fingerprint Application

Software developer equinux released version 1.1 of the company's SongGenie for Mac OS X on Monday. The program can quickly help determine missing track information for the new iPod shuffle if current data consists of only information such as "track 01" and "unknown album" by using acoustic fingerprint technology.
The application also ties into version 3.1 of the CoverScout album cover search program by displaying the correct cover in the Cover Flow view.
Registered customers can upgrade to SongGenie 1.1 and CoverScout 3.1 for free. SongGenie retails for 24.95 Euro ($29.95) and CoverScout retails for 29.95 Euro ($39.95) and require Mac OS X10.5 or later to install and run.
