Etisalat Bringing iPhone 3G to Saudi Arabia, UAE
Monday, February 2nd, 2009 at 8:16 AM - by Jeff Gamet
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirate consumers will be able to get their hands on the iPhone 3G later in February now that the cell carrier Etisalat has signed a deal with Apple to distribute the combination iPod and smartphone.
Etisalat will offer the iPhone 3G in Saudi Arabia through its affiliate company Mobily, according to Reuters.
There isn't any official word yet on what types of service packages will be offered, or how much iPhone subscribers will have to pay.
Apple has been actively pursuing additional markets for the iPhone 3G. So far, Apple has sold over 13 million iPhone 3G units since its launch.
