Glance for iPhone Offers Clock, Weather, & News at a Glance

Long-time Mac icon developer Mendelini announced Monday its first iPhone app, Glance, a news reader, weather app, and clock. Glance is intended to offer pertinent information to its users...wait for it...at a glance. Glance displays the time, alarm controls, current weather information, and a scrolling news ticker from a selection of popular RSS feeds.

Features include:

  • Easy to read 12h/24h clock with seconds and full date
  • Alarm function
  • Screen dimming for night time use
  • Location aware weather reports featuring basic condition icons and temperature in °F or °C
  • Choose a news feed from over 25 of the most popular news sites and blogs
  • Double tap on a story to launch the page in Safari
  • A rainbow of customizable color combinations to make your copy of Glance unique

Veteran readers of The Mac Observer will remember that Mendelini developed a set of icons for TMO we used in the early part of the decade, as well as the numerous Mac icon sets the company has released over the years. The Glance Web site, in fact, offers a set of Glance icons and desktop images for download on your Mac or PC.

Glance is priced at US$1.99, and is available now.
