HAVA Player Brings TV to the iPhone

Monsoon Multimedia has announced that in the second quarter of 2009, it will bring its HAVA Player to the iPhone, enabling HAVA owners to watch their home televisions and operate their DVRs from remote locations. Similar to Slingbox, HAVA lets users change channels and pause, rewind, and fast-forward live TV with their DVR, as well as watch pre-recorded shows.
This quarter, Monsoon will release a plug-in that allows users to export their HAVA DVR recordings to iTunes and transfer them to an iPod or iPhone. It will be free, as will the HAVA Player.
Monsoon sells four versions of HAVA, but none of them are compatible with Mac OS X.
