iPhone 2.0 OS Unlocked and Jailbroken

The iPhone Dev Team has already unlocked and jailbroken the iPhone 2.0 software, according to Gizmodo on Thursday.
According to the report, the iPhone Dev Team has been working on this since the early days of beta testing the SDK. Just when the team will release its Pwnage tool has not been set.
As Jesus Diaz noted, the usefulness is not as great before because phones purchased in the Apple and AT&T stores are put immediately under contract. However, there are other considerations, and for those who do plan to legally unlock their iPhone eventually or install unsigned applications, it’s good to know that the capability will be there with the iPhone 2.0 system.
