Sunday, February 25th, 2007 at 2:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
The 79th annual Academy Awards aired on Sunday, and Apple was there as a sponsor showing off its first commercial for the iPhone. The commercial featured recognizable clips from TV shows and movies of actors saying "Hello" into telephones, and ended with an image of the iPhone and the words "Coming in June."

Steve Jobs announced the iPhone during Macworld Expo 2007 in January. The device combines an iPod, cell phone, and Internet communication tool into a single handheld unit. It is scheduled to be released in June in the U.S. with cell service offered exclusively through AT&T.
If you missed the Oscars, you can still see the iPhone ad on the Apple Web site.
