iPhone: Making Task and Shopping Lists
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007 at 4:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
One feature that is sorely lacking from the iPhone, at least for today, is the ability to create lists for shopping or tasks. Although OneTrip is designed to be an iPhone-based shopping list application, it handles both functions without any trouble.
Like all of the currently available third party iPhone applications, OneTrip is Web-based. It includes a set of pre-defined categories complete with items you can add to your list just by tapping them. Tapping an item in your shopping list adds a check mark so you can keep track of what you have already purchased.

I think the killer feature of OneTrip is that you can enter your own custom items, effectively turning it into the to-do feature that the iPhone is currently missing. Once you create a list, OneTrip lets you email a link to it to yourself or anyone else. That means you can view the same to-do list in a Web browser on your computer or on your iPhone. It isnt quite as elegant as auto syncing your tasks, but it works smoothly, and it is available now.
OneTrip is free, and you can try it out at the OneTrip Web site.
