iPhone: Web Address Lists

Surfing the Web on an iPhone is pretty slick, and typing Web addresses is easy especially since Safari suggests URLs based on sites you have already visited. Thanks to the iPhone’s built in accelerometer, you can control just how Safari displays the Web site it suggests.
When you hold your iPhone horizontally, Safari displays Web pages a little larger, and you can enter URLs on a wider keyboard that’s a little easier to type on. In this view, Safari displays only one URL at a time in its suggestion list -- kind of a pain if you have several Web addresses that are similar because you have to type more of an address before Safari suggests the correct site.
Holding your iPhone vertically when entering Web addresses gives you a smaller keyboard, but you also get to see a scrollable list of Web site suggestions to choose from. Even though this view leaves you with a smaller keyboard to work with, I tend to use it more often since the longer suggestion list means I usually get away with typing fewer characters.
