iPodObserver.com Launches iTunes TV Reviews

iPodObserver.com is adding TV show reviews and recaps for Battlestar Galactica, DeGrassi: The Next Generation, 24, and other classic TV series. All of the TV shows are currently featured on Apple's iTunes Store.

To beef up coverage, iPodObserver.com is adding four new staff members to its already impressive editorial line-up. Joining the publication are Sarah Kuhn (reviewing Battlestar Galactica), Carly Milne (DeGrassi: TNG), and Darla Sasaki (offering Flashback Friday, a look at classic TV show episodes offered on iTunes including Buffy, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Aeon Flux, and more). Sierra Filucci will be joining the staff later in the TV season for coverage of 24.

"Each of the shows we will be covering are popular shows with strong online followings," said Bryan Chaffin, editor-in-chief of iPodObserver.com. "Our readers are already using their iPods, iTunes and the iTunes Store to watch TV and other video content, so TV reviews are a natural extension of our coverage."

Sarah Kuhn has covered television shows ranging from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel to various Star Treks, and has been published in Back Stage, IGN, and Creative Screenwriting Weekly. She brings to iPodObserver.com a wealth of experience concerning pop culture and the world of television fandom. Sarah will be covering Battlestar Galactica, starting with a Season 1-2 recap on October 2nd, 2006, and continuing with a review of the 1st episode of Season 3 to be published Monday, October 9th.

Carly Milne has written for Variety, Maxim, Glamour, Out and many others. She has covered and reviewed TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Temptation Island, and revels in the joys of pop culture and cheesy teen-angst-ridden TV shows. Her first DeGrassi: TNG review will be a recap of past seasons on Monday, September 25th, 2006, and continuing with a review of the Season 6 premier to be published Monday, October 2nd.

Darla Sasaki is a contributing editor for The Mac Observer, and has been heavily involved in TV fandoms, including The X-Files and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Her series, Flashback Friday, will look at classic episodes of TV series offered by iTunes, starting with the Buffy episode "School Hard" on Friday, September 29th, 2006.
