iPod a Holiday Season Top Seller
Sunday, November 27th, 2005 at 2:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
The iPod nano is one of Amazon's top selling items going into the holiday season. As of Monday morning, the 2GB white model was the number-one selling item in the portable audio & video category, and the number two best selling electronics product overall.
Apple is dominating the top spots on Amazon's audio & video list with other iPods, too. The 512MB shuffle is ranked at number two, the black 2GB nano is number three, the 30GB white video capable iPod comes in at four, and an iPod accessory, the iHome iH5 rounds out the top five.
Amazon updates its most popular selling products list hourly.
The iPod is selling well at other retail sites, as well, according to Reuters. Best Buy was sold out of both the black and white 4GB nanos on November 25.
Sales should see a sharp increase starting today as consumers return to work and start purchasing even more online.
