- Billy Miles
- Take the voice of a young Billie Holiday and stuff it into a svelte, petite body with the face of an angel, and you have some idea of what it's like to experience the music of Billy Miles in her self-
- Wolfmother
Black Sabbath, The White Stripes, The Stooges. There aren't many bands worth their salt that want to be compared to other bands, but when I listen to Wolfmother's self-titled American debut, I can
- Prefuse 73
- It's an album about a breakup, done with beats instead of mopey lyrics. But the beats are raw, and the emotions are there, even if there aren't many words on top of it. While possibly not Scott Herren
- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

- We all know it, right? Well, ya just gotta have it. 2112 finally showed Rush out on their own, doing their own thing, and doing it well, IMHO.

iTunes a Success for Networks
Sunday, February 5th, 2006 at 2:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
Since the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) started offering TV shows and other videos last October, broadcast networks have seen a rise in regular viewership. Ben Silverman, executive producer of NBC's The Office credited the iTMS with the show's boost in broadcast viewership in a Reuters article.
Shortly after NBC added The Office to the iTMS line up, it moved the comedy to Thursday nights. "That's like the network telling people it's important to them and part of the whole history of comedy," Mr. Silverman said.
There are now over 40 different series available for download, with individual episodes priced at US$1.99 each. ABC, Comedy Central, the Disney Channel, ESPN, MTV, NBC, Nickelodeon, the Sci Fi channel, and more are already offering programming through the iTMS, and other broadcasters are negotiating with Apple to add their shows, as well.
NBC isn't the only network seeing a pay-off from the iTMS. Albert Cheng, executive vice president of digital media at Disney-ABC Television Group, commented "Overall, we've seen our ratings increase for the shows we have on iTunes, and it continues to pick up momentum."
