iHome Introduces iP1 iPod/iPhone Docking & Speakers
Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 at 4:17 PM - by Bryan Chaffin
iHome announced Tuesday the release of the iP1 iPod and iPhone dock and speaker solution. The iP1 includes Bongiovi Acoustics' Digital Power Station (DPS) technology, a processor that scans your music and boosts "deficient" frequencies in real-time.
The iP1 outputs 100 watts of sound through two 4" woofers and a 1" silk dome tweeter. It comes with a remote and has component video outputs.
The company offers a demo on the iP1 Web site that shows what Bongiovi Acoustics' Digital Power Station is doing to your music. The demo shows both the wave forms, so you can see the difference, and simulates the difference in sound, though this will be relative, depending on the speakers you are using to listen to the demo.
iP1 is priced at US$299, and is available now.
