iPhone 3G S Lines Continue in Boulder; Apple Provides Umbrellas

Apple provided umbrellas to customers waiting in line at its Boulder, CO Apple Store, intended as protection against the sun, not rain. Though lines at the Boulder store are less long than at the nearby Broomfield, CO Flat Iron Crossing location, Boulder's Apple Store has seen steady business for the iPhone 3G S, which went on sale today.

The Boulder AT&T store in the same shopping center also saw lines today, though when our reporter checked in there were just 11 iPhone units on hand in the AT&T location. Jeff Gamet also noted that AT&T was making every customer wait in line, not just those buying iPhones.

The TV news at noon was at one of the AT&T stores in my San Diego neighborhood and that place had quite a line outside. That store is bigger than the one a few blocks from me. I just went by the smaller store on my way to Home Depot and it didn’t look any busier than usual, no line outside, maybe they sold out.
