iStoryTime Turns your iPhone Into Children’s Story Book

FrogDogMedia announced Tuesday the release of iStoryTime, an iPhone and iPod touch app that turns the devices into a children's story book for ages 2-7. The company said its software offers navigation and controls for children stories that is so easy to use, even a two-year old can use it.

The software includes narration, and children can choose between a child's voice or an adult's voice for narration. Pages automatically flip as the story progresses.

The company is releasing three titles under the iStoryTime product line, including (descriptions provided by FrogDogMedia):

  • The Wiener Dog Magnet - The story of a monkey who buys a small dog magnet with disastrous and hilarious results. Thanks to his creativity, the little monkey makes the best of the situation and saves the day. Written and illustrated by Hayes Roberts and narrated by Jen Muench and Laci Schooner.
  • Shoe-per Duper Shoes - All kinds of grown up shoes come to life in this funny adventure. Written by Woody Sears. Illustrated by Zach Sather. Narrated by Jen Muench and Laci Schooner.
  • The Brave Monkey Pirate - The story of a monkey pirate who has to go to the hospital and get a shot, but finds something magical that helps him become brave. Written and illustrated by Hayes Roberts and narrated by Jen Muench and Laci Schooner.

After reading one this article I tried out one of the 3 stories.  My kid is hooked and I’m happy smile.  He can’t get enough of the story - especially the narration!  I’m going to purchase the other 2.  I highly recommend it.
