New Screenshots Released for Serial Killer Game Dexter

Developer Icarus Studios on Monday released new screenshots for its upcoming iPhone game Dexter, which is due to be published by Marc Ecko Entertainment this summer. Based on the Showtime series about a serial killer, the game features puzzle solving, stealth tactics, mini-games, and using the device's accelerometer to slash victims.

Players will control Dexter with a virtual joystick or by tilting their iPhone or iPod touch. They're encouraged to use strategy when interacting with the game's characters, so they don't raise suspicions about Dexter's "Dark Passenger." A mask meter gauges how well they're doing that: if it depletes completely, the game ends.

The Dexter game was scripted by one of the show's writers and features voice acting by series star Michael C. Hall. Release date and purchase price have not been announced.
