Partner to Sell iPhone in Israel

Partner Communications Company announced on Monday that it has struck a deal to sell Apple's iPhone line in Israel. The company claims that it was the first 3G provider in the country, and that it expects the iPhone will account for a significant number of its handset purchases.
According to Partner, it signed a three-year deal where it agreed to purchase a minimum number of iPhones each year. Partner is the local license holder for Orange -- the cell service provider that is offering the iPhone is other European markets.
Apple's iPhone 3G has been selling well around the world. The company is building on interest in its combination iPod and smartphone with the launch of the iPhone 3G S on Friday, June 19. The new iPhone model will be available in a hand full of countries when it first launches, and will roll out in additional markets in the coming weeks.
Partner has not said yet when it expects to start selling the iPhone, or revealed its iPhone pricing plans.
