SmileOnMyMac Announces TextExpander touch for iPhone, TextExpander 2.7 for Mac

SmileOnMyMac introduced TextExpander touch for the iPhone and iPod touch on Monday. The app brings the company's text snippet expander that's previously been available only on the Mac to Apple's handheld devices.

The company also released TextExpander 2.7 for the Mac on Monday in preparation for the upcoming iPhone version. The update added the ability to share snippet groups with the iPhone version of the app, improved Snow Leopard compatibility, fixed bugs, and more.

TextExpander 2.7 is regularly priced at US$29.95, but is available for $14.98 through September 9. It is available for download at the SmileOnMyMac Web site, and the update is free for version 1 and 2 users.

SmileOnMyMac is planning on releasing TextExpander touch at Apple's App Store on August 26.
