Softalk Releases Spreadsheets 2.0 for iPhone

Softalk announced the release of Spreadsheet 2.0 for the iPhone and iPod Touch on Tuesday, an update to the spreadsheet creation tool. The new version includes several new features and some bug fixes.

Spreadsheet 2.0 offers users all of the necessary tools for creating professional quality spreadsheets on their iPhone or iPod touch. This app provides a scrollable zoomable view, along with cell formatting features and a variety of standard spreadsheet functions.

Among the new features, Spreadsheet 2.0 also provides support for XLS format and multiple worksheets. This makes it possible to share files with Excel, Apple Numbers, NeoOffice and other desktop spreadsheet applications. Although Spreadsheet 2.0 uses XLS as its native format, it is also capable of importing files in XML Spreadsheet format and CSV format.

Other new features include:

  • Cell Merging
  • Unlimited Rows and Columns
  • Faster transfer of workbooks between the desktop and the device
  • Improved e-mailing of spreadsheets
  • Several additions to the supported functions
