Sonos Controller 3.0 for iPhone Adds Controls for Online Music Services

Sonos released Sonos Controller 3.0 for iPhone Monday, an update that includes additional controls for Last.fm, Napster, Pandora, Rhapsody, and Sonos Radio. The additional controls come under a feature called "View Info," which offers additional information (as the name suggests) and other controls.

Sonos is a device that will play the music files on your computer's hard drive, as well as access more than 25,000 Internet radio stations and music services such as the ones listed above. As a networked item, multiple Sonos devices can be used to bring music to every room in the house.

Sonos Controller for iPhone allows you to control your Sonos device from your iPhone.

The details version 3.0's new features:

  • Last.fm – While listening to music from Last.fm, Info View allows you to see artist information, user-generated tags, similar artists, even upcoming concert dates from that artist.
  • Napster – Info View on Napster helps you add tracks and albums to your Napster Library and allows you to select and add tracks, artists, and albums to AutoMix.
  • Pandora – Info View on Pandora allows you to view more information about the song that is playing, crew new stations, add bookmarks to your Pandora.com account so you can remember artists and tracks you want to check out or purchase later.
  • Rhapsody - When listening or browsing through music from Rhapsody artists and albums you'll see selections under Info View that will let you view more information about the artist, album reviews, related artist, related projects, followers, contemporaries and more.
  • Sonos Radio – Use Info View to save your favorite radio stations, shows, and podcasts from more than 25,000 stations and shows from every corner of the globe.

Sonoso Controller 3.0 for iPhone is free from the App Store.
