Stitcher Radio

Stitcher, Inc. announced Friday that its namesake iPhone App, Stitcher Radio, has been updated to version 2.0. The new version of the Internet-news radio and programming app includes several new features users have told the developers it must have.

Stitcher Radio allows users to stream news and entertainment programs to your iPhone. If you then save favorites and rate shows, Stitcher can put together what its makers describe as virtual news station for you. In addition to news, financial news, entertainment, and sports, Stitcher also has a dedicated Mac station.

The new features, as listed by the company:

  • Resume - Begin listening where you left off. Stitcher remembers your

  • Seek Bar - Fast-forward, rewind, or move around within a show to any
    point you want.
  • Improved stability and faster startup time.
  • Feedback form in the app - A quick and easy way to improve Stitcher
    while you listen.
  • International Stations - Hear French, Portuguese, Italian and Japanese
    stations, with more coming.

Stitcher Radio is free, which means the update is free. It's a .5MB download from the App Store.
