TextExpander touch for iPhone Lands on the App Store

SmileOnMyMac's TextExpander touch appeared on Apple's App store on Wednesday, extending the company's text snippet expander for the Mac to the iPhone and iPod touch. The app lets users build snippet libraries that contain words and phrases that can be quickly copied or sent to other iPhone apps.

TextExpander touch can send snippets to Mail, Tweetie, Twitterrific and Twittelator Pro. It also supports syncing snippet libraries with the Mac OS X version of TextExpander, as well as sharing snippets with other TextExpander touch users on a local network.

Syncing snippet groups with the Mac requires TextExpander 2.7, which is available at the SmileOnMyMac Web site for US$14.98 through September 9. It is regularly priced at $29.95.

TextExpander touch is priced at $1.99 and is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.
