TNA Wrestling Comes to iPhone; Ghostbusters, Q*bert, Others on the Way [UPDATED]

Monday saw the release of TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling, based on the wrestling league that airs on Spike TV, while Sony Pictures Television's mobile unit unveiled its 2009 iPhone lineup, which includes Ghostbusters, Q*bert, and 007: Top Agent.

TNA Wrestling (US$4.99) features many of the league's most popular wrestlers, including AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, and Sting, with eight types of matches to choose from, such as tag team, iron man, gauntlet, and lumberjack. As players work their way from rookie to TNA World Champion, they unlock new moves, create alliances and rivalries with other wrestlers, and make decisions about their careers.

Meanwhile, Sony's mobile game slate includes three exclusive iPhone games: Ghostbusters, based on the popular movie and due for release in June; the classic arcade game Q*bert, which will ship in July with 50 new maps; 007: Top Agent (August), a multi-player version of the previously released game in which gamers create their own secret agent and fight other players' characters, as well as famous villains from the Bond series.

Sony has other games in development, including one based on the upcoming movie Angels & Demons, Sports Illustrated, Zombieland, 2012: The Mobile Game, and Voltron. A company representative told iPodObserver.com: "Most of these titles will ultimately be available on iPhone as well."
