Universal Plans iPhone App for Blu-ray Bonus Content

Universal announced Monday that it would deliver an "extensive array of iPhone and iPod touch-enabled features" for featured Blu-ray titles, content that would be accessible through companion apps released though the App Store. The first such title will be Fast & Furious, which will be released July 28th on Blu-ray, along with its companion iPhone app.
With the companion app, users will be able to control interactive content on their Internet and WiFi connected Blu-ray players for what the company described as "a more enhanced and unique experience." In future titles, users will be able to download bonus content from their Blu-ray disks to their iPhones and iPod touches to watch on-the-go.
For Fast & Furious, users will be able to control a "virtual car garage," as shown in the image below.
