Universal Music Group (UMG) and developer Tapulous on Wednesday announced a partnership to bring new music games to the App Store, starting with a version of Tap Tap Revenge starring Lady Gaga, which was released the same day. The game features 14 of the pop singer's songs, four of which are remixes.
Lady Gaga Revenge also features four boss tracks with horizontal play mode and four rails, both firsts for the Tap Tap series, as well as four difficulty levels, new themes and graphics, a multi-player mode, a Lady Gaga news feed, and Facebook Connect for uploading high scores to the Internet.

Pricing is US$4.99 and iPhone software 2.0 is required.
Looking forward, the UMG/Tapulous partnership will enable players to purchase songs from UMG artists in Tapulous' upcoming Tap Tap Revenge 3.0 for $0.50 each. In addition, this fall will see another Tap Tap game starring a UMG artist, with more games promised.
