Vuzix Releases “Works with iPhone” Certified Cable for AV/3D Goggles

Vuzix announced Thursday a new cable for its line of video eyewear (see picture below for an example). The cable, called simply "iPhone Cable," has been certified under Apple's "Works with iPhone" program, and the cable make the display of 3D content possible on the company's 3D goggles.
Users can use the cable to watch and hear any video-out signal from the iPhone (for instance, videos and games). If the video out is one of the following formats, it will display as a 3D image:
- Side by Side
- Interlaced
- All 3 Major Anaglyph Modes
Vuzix's eyeware displays come in a variety of flavors, including the recently announced iWear AV230XL, which is priced at US$199.95. iPhone Cable is priced at $39.95, though the company has not yet added the product to its Web site.
