Wide Email 3.0

LizardWerks announced version 3.0 of Wide Email for iPhone Friday, an update that incorporates Twitter support into the app. Wide Emai's main purpose is to allow iPhone and iPod touch users to use the landscape keyboard when composing e-mails (and now tweets). Neither Mail nor Twitterific otherwise allos access to the landscape keyboard for composing messages.

Once composed in Wide Email, e-mails are automaticall sent through Apple's Mail program, while tweets are sent through Iconfactory's Twitterific. Wide Email also includes the ability to create keyboard shortcuts for commonly used phrases and words in a manner the company describes as being like BlackBerry's AutoType feature.

Wide Email 3.0 will also save previously-sent e-mails so that they can be used as templates for new e-mails.

Wide Email 3.0 is priced at US$0.99 at the App Store.
