On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

YouTube: Mobile Uploads Increase 400% Per Day Since iPhone 3GS Release
Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at 4:10 PM - by Bryan Chaffin
YouTube announced Thursday that mobile uploads to the video sharing service have increased by some 400% per day since the release of the iPhone 3GS on Friday, June 19th. The company made the announcement in a blog entry touting the overall growth trend in mobile video uploads during the last six months, growth that has apparently been dramatically punctuated by Apple's newest iPhone.
The iPhone 3GS allows iPhone users for the first time to capture videos from the device. Out of the box, these videos can be uploaded to YouTube, MobileMe, and other video sharing services.
In order to promote more mobile video uploading, YouTube also announced a promotion, of sorts, that will eventually place featured mobile videos on the YouTube home page.
"Upload a video from your phone," the company wrote, "tag it with 'mobiletest,' share it with your social network, and Tweet us the link (so be sure to put '@youtube' and 'mobiletest' in your message). We'll give you one week to spread your test video far and wide, after which we'll take a look at the most popular clips and feature a few on our homepage in a special 'mobile upload' edition of our Spotlight Video."
