For anyone with an iPhone or iPod Touch that has kids or children you may want to look at this app. SantaLive. This is an application that allows you to see Santa in a 3D animated series on your iPhone. Each day you see what he is doing at the North Pole. The animation is great and my kids love it. another cool app, although it isn’t just for kids, Toy Bot Diaries, takes place in a vending machine type setting with a little Toy Robot working its way through the levels. Just a Heads up hope someone tries it.

My 4 year old loves Jelly Car and Ragdoll Blaster, although Ragdoll is a little more difficult, but he loves it, he asks me for advice on how to pass the more difficult levels.  Also Memory Match is a good one - classic matching game.

My son (3 years old) likes shape builder ( http://www.touchscreenpreschoolgames.com/games/shape-builder-iphone-toddler-game )—which is a puzzle game with a ton of puzzles that also say what the object is, so he learns lots of new things.

He also digs Wheels on the Bus ( http://duckduckmoosedesign.com/ ) which is an interactive version of the classic kids song with little things to play with on each page.

Finally, he likes Monkey Preschool Lunchbox ( http://www.thup.com/preschool/ ) which is a few games in one with a dancing monkey attached to each one.

There’s really a crazy number of kids apps out there, it’s hard to keep track.

An iPhone kids application you should check out is iStoryTime. It’s a library of narrated and illustrated kids books for the iPhone. There are 6 books available in the Apple AppStore today: http://www.istorytimeapp.com/appstore With new ones coming out every week.

Great for driving in the car, on the airplane, or at a restaurant waiting for the bill when the kids are going crazy.

You guys are better parents than me.  I tell them to stay away from my touch. “You guys have your 360, I have my touch.”  I’ve let them use it on trips and stuff, but I don’t want it lost or broken.  I may get them their own someday though.

“Balls Kids” is new. It’s a toy and timewaster, with absolutely no educational value whatsoever. You touch the screen to add balls or blow them up, and tilt to roll them around. They chime and make funny noises when they hit each other or the sides of the screen.

Fun in the car, too - you can see the effect of accelerating, braking and turning on the balls.
