Dock Extender

One of my pet peeves is that you have to take your iPod out of most cases to use its Dock Connector. I hate that. Fortunately, SendStation Systems has invented a little doohickey called Dock Extender that makes the Dock Connector conundrum a non-issue.
It's an ingenious little three-part system. The first part is an insert with a removeable wire support thingie that sits on the Dock Connector of the peripheral device. The second part is a set of interchangeable bumper caps so Dock Extender can accommodate iPods and iPod cases of various thicknesses. And the third part is a little Dock Extender plug that, well, extends the connector on your iPod.
This is clearly a case (pun intended) where some pictures are worth a thousand words. So first, here's the official glamour shot from SendStation Systems:

I leave the whole thing assembled and inserted in the Dock Connector of my current speaker system. Then I just slap my iPod onto it case and all.
The Bottom Line
Dock Extender a one trick pony but if you're like me and hate inserting and removing your iPod from its case to use your favorite peripheral, it's a trick you're going to like a lot.
