In-Depth Review
FlowerVest case for iPhone 3G
Thursday, August 28th, 2008 at 7:30 AM - by Bob LeVitus
The FlowerVest by Agent 18 is a "flexible, lightweight, durable silicone" case for the iPhone 3G. And while its vibrant flower designs and color options -- pink with pink flowers or brown with blue flowers -- don't do much for me, they do a lot for my 20 year old daughter, who says this case is the coolest one in my collection of more than a dozen cases that are waiting to be reviewed.

Of course, gentle reader, as your humble servant I was duty-bound to actually test the case myself before giving it to my daughter for further testing. And while I found it somewhat embarrassing to carry a hot pink iPhone, I have to admit the case is a pretty good one. The design offers easy access to all buttons and switches. And while the silicone is thick enough to protect your iPhone from small bumps and bruises, it's also thin enough to allow you to dock the iPhone in most docking devices, something many other cases don't allow. That's the good news.

The bad news is that it's priced somewhat higher than many other silicone cases. And unlike most of the other cases I've reviewed, this one doesn't include any type of screen protection. Sure the iPhone screen is relatively scratch resistant but I feel a whole lot better when there's something between my iPhone screen and my keys or change in my pocket, or whatever.
The Bottom Line
If you love its unique appearance (as my daughter does), don't mind its price, and don't care that it lacks screen protection, the FlowerVest case is probably the perfect case for you.
Just The Facts
Pros:Unique look, works in most docks.
Cons:Pricey, no screen protection.
