Quick Look Review
Griffin elan Form and elan Form Graphite Hard-shell Textured Cases
Friday, May 22nd, 2009 at 4:20 PM - by Nancy Gravley
The elan Form and elan Form graphite hard-shell textured cases, made by Griffin, are available for the iPhone 3G and the second generation iPod touch. They are composed of shatter-proof polycarbonate inner shells and synthetic outer shells. They fit very snugly around the phone or iPod touch with no hang-over to obscure the screen view.
The outside designs are patterned and have a leather look to them. Each case includes a static peel screen protector and a very nice cleaning cloth.

These cases come in two pieces which certainly makes it easy to slip the iPhone or iPod touch into the case. This two part form is specifically designed to facilitate ease of docking.
Griffin calls it the EasyDock and states that all one has to do is slip the short, bottom half of the case off, place the iPhone or iPod touch in a docking station, recharge it, and then slip the bottom half of the case back in place and be on your way. I found that to be quite true.
I also was able to check it out with the Griffin AirCurve which requires docking techniques. The cases worked for that setting as well.
These cases are attractive and the rough outer texture allows for a firm grip. They come in several color choices, the solid graphite being the most expensive. They are also the most elegant looking.
Just The Facts
Pros:
