Podner 1.1 Offers Batch Processing, More

Splasm Software has released version 1.1 of Podner, its utility that automatically reformats video files for use with Apple's new video-capable iPods. This update adds batch processing, support for non-square pixel aspect ratios, automatic software update checks and performance improvements and bug fixes.

Podner 1.1 is free for registered users. It's US$9.95 for the full version, with system requirements that call for Mac OS X v10.4, iTunes 6, QuickTime 7.0.3 and temporary free hard drive room equivalent to three times the size of each processed video file.

Downloaded it. Tried it. Works a charm. Paid the shareware fee.

Downloaded it - tried it. Works well.

I've also tried MANY different video to 5G iPod converters - for both Mac & Win.

I've found iSquint works like a charm, as well:

The author also has posted a new version that supports batch processing, as well.

Only US $0.00 (freeware) as opposed to Podner's $9.95 or almost $30.00 for QuickTime Pro.
