iPod Knocks BenQ Out of the MP3 Player Race
Monday, November 28th, 2005 at 9:40 AM - by Staff
BenQ is planning on discontinuing its Joybee MP3 player product line, according to an article in DigiTimes. The iPod's dominance in the Taiwan market has pushed BenQ out, but the company plans on introducing cell phones with MP3 players instead.
BenQ is only one of many in recent months to crumble under the iPod's popularity. Rio and Olympus have both abandoned the market this year.
