Scrubs Added to iTMS; Marks First 'Mixed Network' Deal

Apple added the NBC sitcom Scrubs to the iTunes Music Store on Wednesday, marking the first time a "mixed network" show was made available that way. The show is produced by Touchstone Television, which is owned by Disney-ABC Television Group. Previously, all shows made available on the iTMS were produced by the networks that air them, according to a Reuters story.

Reporter Steve Gorman said that the sale of such shows was previously hampered by wrangling over profit sharing. While neither Disney nor NBC revealed the terms of the Scrubs deal, Mr. Gorman cited a Daily Variety story that said the two companies were splitting the profits in half.

Awe, NBC and ABC have taken the Scrubs theme song to heart.

I can't make it all on my own, I'm no Superman.

I love this show.

Big Deal! I couldn't find it. And why pay for what you can get for free. Even the cable/Dish content. The only guarantee is the you get a current line of episodes that the network can't offer. I quit watching the Daily Show because the continuity was botched. You never knew when a new show was being aired. Also once he went to the new set up it got silly, not entertaining. Scrubs. Dumb, no longer entertaining. Why bother. Much less pay.

Good thing that your opinion doesn't dictate how the iTMS does business.
